Abstract: The rapid economic growth of Japan after the end of World War II can be attributed, to a large degree, to the influence of American business ideals and the financial backing to allow Japanese industry to enter into the technological age. This 2 page paper briefly examines the effect of the American occupation of Japan on their postwar economy. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
