Spondylolysis and Spondylolisthesis

Abstract: An 11 page paper providing an overview of these two conditions commonly associated with the L5 vertebra. Spondylolysis is most often associated with adolescents, at least in the time that the conditions appear. It is believed that they may affect between five and six percent of the population, and they can lead to chronic back pain. Management of spondylolysis is relatively simple though its diagnosis may not be. However, that diagnosis is worth pursuing because it can lead to spondylolisthesis, which can require surgery to correct. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
