Medical Concerns Involving Mental Disorders

Abstract: A 14 page paper which discusses various concerns in the medical community in relationship to patients who suffer from mental disorders such as depression. A section is presented which discusses why animals are used in research, why it is important to use animals, and what kind of animals are used and why. Another section details medicinal approaches to the conditions of depression, and the use of ECT for treatment of depression. The next section discusses possible complications of combined medications as would be necessary in treating other conditions. The final section discusses mental illnesses in children and information pertaining to attention deficit problems. Bibliography lists 18 sources.
