Abstract: A 12 page paper delineating a complexity of problems associated with poverty. Suggests that these problems require a flexible approach to their solution. This approach must include traditional programs designed to meet the most basic of human needs but it must also include measures to address the more ancillary problems of poverty. These ancillary problems require such measures as the enforcement of labor laws, the provision of child care for single mothers and impoverished families, and a variety of other approaches. Most importantly, however, the solution to poverty is an reintegration of community and family, a break down of the barriers associated with economics, race and age. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
