Transvestites In "Psycho" & "Silence Of The Lambs"

Abstract: A 12 page paper in which the writer attempts to validate a thesis concerning social controversy over the use of transvestites in popular film. For the most part, the concern here is that the media raised very little objection decades ago when Norman Bates dressed as his dead mother but yet in the supposedly more "open-minded" 1990's, the film "Silence of The Lambs" fell under marked criticism simply because of how it portrayed transvestites.
