Helen Frankenthaler

Abstract: A 4 page paper that discusses Frankenthaler's experience in the world of art, her unique technique and its subsequent applications. The paper discusses the fact of recognition for her technique in a male-dominant art world, but not her works. Through feminist descriptions of a few of her works, the paper posits that the beauty of the paintings themselves may have been largely ignored in light of the fact that her technique was so intriguing.
