Abstract: This 5 page report discusses the fact that in the ethnic communities of the United States, certain groups have traditionally fared better than others. In some circumstances it is because members of their community have actually established more representative and supportive societies in America. In other circumstances, the community has had a more historically based framework of support in the United States upon which they could draw. Ironically, the United States has created a realm in which communities that developed as the result of the physically most distance lands -- Southeast Asia and the Philippines -- have actually fared better than America
