Sir Gawain: Character Analysis From Three Different Representations

Abstract: 5 pages in length. "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" is perhaps one of the most frequently discussed tales of all the King Arthur stories. That Sir Gawain presents as the epitome of moral flawlessness is all the more reason to further examine the type of man this particular knight truly is. When analyzing his personage as it exists in three different representations, one can readily detect the sometimes subtle yet other times quite blatant modifications this character assumes.
