Microeconomic Influence and Governments' Budget Constraints

Abstract: A 7 page paper discussing the implications of increasing budgetary restrictions on government at all levels. The effects of greater accountability and still-increasing budgetary restrictions is that governments are expected to operate more as businesses. A business can cease to exist if it fails to serve its customers and make sound economic choices for its own operation, a fate unlikely for government agencies. However, the trend remains toward greater microeconomic influence in government operation. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
