Two Poems, Two Fathers, Two Sons

Abstract: A 5 page paper on Theodore Roethke's poem 'My Papa's Waltz' and Robert Hayden's 'Those Winter Sundays.' The paper shows that while both poems are about a man's memories of his boyhood relationship with his father, the experiences related are very different because of the fathers' ability or inability to communicate with their sons. Bibliography lists two sources (the poems themselves).
