The Heterogeneity of British Film of the 1930's and 1940's

Abstract: 7 pages in length. The British films of the 1930's and 1940's were a heterogenous mix which some claim could constitute a problem in marketing them as national cinema. Two British films in particular are the focus in this paper, that of The Lady Vanishes, directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1938 and The Four Feathers directed by Zoltan Korda in 1939. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
