Vocational Youth Organizations

Abstract: 9 pages in length. The history of vocational youth organizations was born out of the need to guide adolescents down a positive path toward productive career-oriented goals. Many times youths have a particular vocational desire yet no way of attaining the proper training due to financial limitations or other constraints. Vocational youth organizations were established as a means by which to provide the missing link between an adolescent's vocational focus and the training that will help him or her reach this goal. The objectives of vocational youth organizations are to fortify the learning relationship between individuals and their particular vocational area, as well as to interact with other organizations in order to ascertain the common denominator between and among other similar organizations. The writer discusses vocational youth organizations with special attention on those that retrain criminal offenders. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
