Counseling Latino Women

Abstract: Issues relevant to the Latina population include education, unemployment and job opportunity, immigration, beliefs concerning and access to health care and child care, gender role and acculturation (often interpreted as empowerment) and family interactions. This 7 page paper explores the special concerns relevant to the Latino woman and briefly looks at viable techniques for counseling. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
