Televisual Trends and their Break from the Preceding Decade

Abstract: 5 pages. There are televisual and extra-televisual determinations that lead to the development of two divergent trends in the 1970's urban realism and fantasy. This paper will represent a synopsis of each type and illustrate the influence of the TV specific and socio-political determinations outlined. Each of these programming shifts are historicized and consideration is made as to whether or not each represents a break with convention from the preceding decade. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
