The Disassociation Of Campus Groups

Abstract: Student organizations are considered to be an integral component of college life, however, one such organization, G.R.O.U.P., has requested official status as a recognized student organization at Fordham University. The problem was that the group had been formed to promote awareness and support of gay and lesbian students. This 5 page paper argues against the acceptance of the organization based on sociological concepts of deviancy, differential association and social learning. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
