Abstract: 10 pages in length. The influence of mass media upon society as a whole is overwhelming; when one breaks down the individual components of which society is comprised, it becomes increasingly clear how detrimental an impact the various forms of media have upon individuals. Attempting to function within the dictates of a social existence is difficult enough for adolescents without the added pressure of following erroneous cues from skewed 21st century media perception.
