Abstract: 6 pages in length. Director Quentin Tarantino, heralded as the most exciting filmmaker to emerge from Hollywood since the 1970s, has also earned the title of auteur throughout the industry. Clearly, very few directors can be considered an auteur, a theory that supports filmmaking as a venture in which the director assumes the movie's primary creative force. One only needs to view Natural Born Killers, Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs to gain a full appreciation of just how the auteur theory applies to Tarantino's cinematic quests. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
