Feminism and Judaism

Abstract: This 6 page report discusses the fact that as feminism has become a more commonplace mindset in the past several decades, traditional interpretations of various aspects of culture, including religious beliefs, have evolved in ways that acknowledge and accommodate a feminist based understanding. Judaism is no exception. In fact, a feminist reinterpretation of traditional texts combined with exploration of historic women's religious practices has created a new Jewish spirituality for women with new rituals and beliefs.
