Abstract: A 5 page paper which discusses aspects of child welfare. The issues addressed include an explanation of child welfare, why one would become interested in pursuing the field in terms of a career, the qualities that make a good child welfare worker, areas of concern in the field, and what the long and short term goals of a child welfare worker should be.
