Abstract: A 5 page discussion of the physiological process of homeostasis, the tendency of living organisms to maintain an equilibrium in regard to a number of physiological aspects ranging from blood sugar regulation to temperature regulation. Provides a detailed discussion of the importance of homeostasis in regard to the regulation of such compounds as salt and even the critical balance of wastes products such as urea and carbon dioxide.
