The Concept Of Race As a Social Construct

Abstract: In this 4 page research paper, the writer argues that race has no biological basis and is merely a socially-constructed concept-- created from perceptions conditioned by events of recorded history. Race and class issues (primarily the example of inner-city African-Americans) are examined with many examples to support this theory. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
