Are The Skills That Are Necessary To Become An American President Substantially Different From Those That Are Necessary To Function As President?

Abstract: 7 pages in length. If the skills necessary to become an American president were one and the same with the skills necessary to function as president, the United States would boast some of the most ethical, righteous and humane leaders of the free world. However, being that the requisite skills for each are completely divergent in nature, it is understandable how disillusioned the constituency becomes after a candidate secures office by selling himself with political promises and administrative skill that does not materialize once the president has been elected.
