Abstract: A 5 page research paper that examines the impact of Beethoven's Third Symphony, known as the "Eroica," on the music world. The classicism of the eighteenth century valued reason above the emotions, the romanticism of the eighteenth century revolted against this perspective and it was Beethoven who brought Romanticism to music with the Eroica.
