History of the Trumpet

Abstract: A 15 page research paper that examines the long evolution of the trumpet. Long used as a military signaling device, or as a symbol of high social status, an examination of the trumpet's history and evolution demonstrates that it is only in its modern incarnation that the trumpet fulfills its full potential as a musical instrument capable of great versatility. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
