Abstract: 4 pages in length. Upon discovering the Java Jacket as an artifact of the early twenty-first century, future generations would first look upon this seemingly useless piece of light-weight cardboard and wonder why its textured surface was such a mainstay in contemporary culture. However, upon closer inspection, they would come to realize that while insignificant in appearance, the Java Jacket reflected two very important aspects of society: fast-paced lifestyles and the attempt to reclaim a tremendously compromised environment.
