Qatarization ; Augmenting Qatari Human Resources in Qatar Petroleum

Abstract: This 60 page paper examines the process of Qatarization in Qatar. This is the process by which expatriate workers are being replaced by Qatari nationals. The paper looks at the reasons for the development of the scheme with the background of Qatar and Qatar Petroleum examined. The next section looks at the impact at corporate level, how the project fits in with management theories and the way in which Qatarization has emerged along with the role of Qatar Petroleum. The paper then looks at the training courses that have been developed for both men and woman, along with the pre-requisites and the potential career developments that may follow.
