Shakespeare, Mankiewicz, & Plutarch / Three Views Of Julius Caesar

Abstract: A 6 page paper comparing the 1953 film of Julius Caesar directed by Joseph Mankiewicz with the real historical events. The paper concludes that the film version of Julius Caesar succeeds -- through some slight transformations in historical fact -- in bringing history to life, and making us care about it in the bargain. Bibliography lists two sources.
