Abstract: This 14 page paper provides an assessment of social work law, personal empowerment, and promoting personal rights through the view of a specific case. The Report on the Inquiry into the Care and Treatment of Christopher Clunis, conducted by Jean Ritchie, Donald Dick and Richard Lingham in February 1994 relates a number of concerns regarding the care that was provided for Clunis, a paranoid schizophrenic.
