Capitalism: Democracy

Abstract: Martin Luther King, Jr. said that anyone living in the states should never be considered an outsider, but Henry David Thoreau points out that the United States is not truly a society of people, but a country made up of individuals with only their own needs to consider, under the law. As such, their capitalist pursuits destroy their democracy. Yet they do not see it and are incapable of changing it. Bibliography lists 5 sources. jvCapDem.rtf
