Steroids Should Be Banned

Abstract: This past summer the baseball star, Mark McGwire, openly admitted that he was using a performance enhancing drug, a natural occurring steroid, androstenedione. The drug is available over the counter in many health and nutrition stores in the United States. This 5 page paper argues that the use of performance enhancing steroids should be banned from use by any professional (including Olympic) athlete, regardless of the type of sport or gender.
