Game Theory & The Art of Office Politics

Abstract: A 10 page research paper that looks at the book You Can Win at Office Politics by Dr. Robert Bell, which applies the theoretical framework of Game Theory to scenarios typical of life in corporate America. This theory asserts that the same sort of mathematical analysis that will reveal the best moves in games such as poker, chess and bridge will also reveal strategies that can be used in social situations. The writer looks at several recent news articles and applies Bell's theories before concluding that his strategies are applicable and helpful in business life. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
