Is Sex Work Really "Work"

Abstract: This 4 page paper, unlike the title suggests, concludes that it is hard to separate one's psyche from one's body and be truly alienated in the sex industry. The paper uses Chapkis' Live Sex Acts as a springboard for discussion. The book uses Marx's theory of alienation to argue that sex may be looked upon as a job. No additional sources cited.
