Health Policy: Medicare Reform

Abstract: A 9 page paper assessing current health care policy, forces that maintain the status quo and suggestions for improving policy. The bottom line is that ultimately, Medicare controls the course of most of health care in the US, including precipitating much of the cost increase against which all parties appear to be powerless. The paper identifies forces and stakeholders to suggest that Medicare enlist the private sector to assist in designing changes. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
