Product Life Cycle Management

Abstract: This 7 page paper answers three questions. The first section briefly describes the information management issues that make product life cycle management systems a vital corporate system in many companies. The second section looks at the major capabilities that the vault of a PLM system provides and the third section describes the functionality of a workflow system based on the Workflow Management Coalition Reference Model and considers the benefits this system provides in the context of a change management or review/approvals process.
