War Photography

Abstract: In 5 pages the author discusses war photography and expounds on how war photography has changed the people's views on war. There is an old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words. War photography is certainly no less so. Photographs of war run the gamut from death and destruction all around, to the hope that is seen in the faces of the people for whom the war is being fought. The war photography is able to take the viewer to a place he or she would not want to be, but would like to know about. For some the realities of war are too harsh. The photographs are too real, with too many memories. War photographer Don McCullin is also discussed. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
