Abstract: A 3 page critical evaluation of the arguments presented by Rosenblatt in his essay. Written to commemorate Earth Day in 2000, Roger Rosenblatt's essay "All the Days of the Earth" succinctly and accurately sums the environmentalist arguments for preserving the natural environment and for remembering that the roots of humanity lie in nature, on which we are still dependent for our survival. Examination of Rosenblatt's argument demonstrates the persuasiveness of his rhetoric, as it builds an incremental argument based on both logical and emotional rationales. The writer comments on Rosenblatt's thesis and agrees with this ecological stance. No additional sources cited.
