CEO Dave Duffield enjoys founding and building businesses; PeopleSoft is his third successful one. The original software design on which PeopleSoft was founded was one that was designed to track and maintain the vast amounts of data found in corporate Human Resources was designed for use by those who use the information, rather than for MIS employees. The entire industry since has slowed in its growth, and PeopleSoft has declined in value. The paper recommends purchase of PeopleSoft now, in that its stock is undervalued and the company is actively developing new applications for today
