Stem Cell Research: Ethical Analysis

For many, the controversy surrounding stem cell research is founded within a combination of religious, political and opportunistic reasons; however, when it truly comes down to the issue's focal point, the primary component is whether the use of cord blood stands to serve as a conduit between progressing medical technology and a new and viable way to save lives. From a business point of view, one must candidly ask: Should emotional response be overruled when it comes to the tremendous benefits associated with such a promising option?
