Abstract: A 3 page essay that argues that President George W. Bush's address to the nature after 9/11 demonstrates the elements of eloquence in speech-making. Examination of this speech shows that it draws its tremendous emotional appeal from several features. First of all, there is the context of the rhetorical situation. To this situation, President Bush brought the use of vivid imagery, memorable lines, and the intense appeal of pathos and patriotism. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
