Families: Definition And Social Class Framework

Abstract: 3 pages in length. Families of today are no more like their 1930s counterparts than 1930s families are a reflection of those from the 1890s. With each new generation comes a sort of metamorphosis with regard to the overall composition of the family unit. The synergistic impact of social, political, cultural and historical elements serves to steer the ever-evolving nature of families so they move forward with the constant progress of society as a whole; indeed, it would look rather peculiar to see a family like the Andersons from Father Knows Best living next door to the ultra contemporary likes of Ozzy Osbourne and kin. The passage of time instills myriad new and different modifications to society as a whole and families as a direct representation of that greater influence. No bibliography.
