Abstract: This 3 page paper discusses Emerson's observations about man, including that of man's infinite worthiness, and asks if we can enact reform or if we have come to believe that poverty, racism, economic injustice and all the other ills of society are just the way things are? It also discusses two poems, Langston Hughes's Let America be America again and Robert Frost's Mending Wall. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
