Values In Counseling

Abstract: In social work, as in many of the other 'helping' sciences, a professional may come across an incident when a client has a different value system than that of the counselor. A clear examination of one's own values will allow the counselor to evaluate the differences without making a judgment about the client's value system. This 2 page essay explores value orientation, from a personal standpoint, in regard to education.
