Abstract: A 10 page discussion of the influence of geographic isolation in shaping the social justice system and the performing arts of the Appalachia region. Defines the region and discusses the meaning of the Code of the Hills. Describes how the factors which resulted in this unique form of social justice also resulted in unique forms of performing arts such as music, dance and song. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
