An Evaluation of the City of Cape Coral Fire Department

Abstract: This 25 page paper provides an overview of an assessment of the City of Cape Coral, Florida, Fire Department. This paper provides a distinct and well-designed look at the successes of the fire department in recent years, including the implementation and application of their Advanced Life Support (ALS) Care systems (including education, protocols for response and their use with the citizenry) and both ALS Transport and ALS Non-Transport services (services that are used when patients will not be transported). This paper considers the variety of successes and benefits that have been gained by the introduction of these systems and how this has influenced the role of the fire department in their capacity to meet the needs of the citizenry. This paper also takes into consideration the cost-containment efforts and the overall view of the department as a whole. Bibliography lists 16 sources.
