Abstract: This 8 page paper discusses the Gospel of Luke, the third and longest of the synoptic gospels. Background including biographical sketch of Luke, to whom, when, where and why he wrote this book are provided. Luke's gospel can be divided into three separate sections: The events that occurred in and around Galilee; those that took place in Judea and Perea and the events that occurred during the final week in Jerusalem. The major and sub-themes of the gospel are outlined and explained. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
