Chicago

Abstract: 10 pages in length. Tragedy and uprising reflect the foundation upon which most cities move through the often painful struggle of progress. Chicago is no different in this respect and can even lay claim to some of the nation's most notable events of this type. While the Windy City has had her share of positive, uplifting reasons for growth, it has been her brushes with near defeat that has served to strengthen her resolve as a population and a metropolis that much more. Combined with the more positive trends that helped to shape her history, Chicago has long held the title of being a Mecca of multitude for all the things that make a city desirable.
