The Effect of Parental Separation on Children in the U.K.

Abstract: 5 pages in length. Parental separation was not always thought to have a lasting effect on children; children were supposed to be able to bounce back psychologically and carry on with their lives virtually unscathed in the face of familial discord. This informative research paper shows however, in an upsetting turn of events, studies have actually proven that many children of parental separation have difficulty forming lasting love relationships and are more likely to become separated or divorced themselves.
