The Impact Of Hurricane Andrew

Abstract: 18 pages in length. With the dubious honor of being one of the most expensive natural disasters in American history, Hurricane Andrew's importance as an environmental health topic is because of 1) technological progress for warning systems that has occurred since Andrew; 2) the critical need for disaster preparedness on a large state and government scale; and 3) the need for greater disaster preparedness at every point, both public and legislative.
