Fight Club/Injured Male Egos & Dystopia

Abstract: A 3 pages essay that analyzes the film "Fight Club" (1999, directed by David Fincher) which focuses on the life of "Jack," a nameless drone stuck in the cogs of the corporate machinery that drives the economies of Western society. Jack is plagued by insomnia and only finds release and sleep after purging himself of emotions through cathartic release at group support meetings for various cancer and disease victims. Basically, the film answers two questions: How does Jack go from being a feminized victim of corporate America to being a counter-culture revolutionary leader? Why does this change occur?
