Environmental Issues: Man-Made

Abstract: 5 pages in length. Environmental issues -- from oil spills to sustainable development and global warming to species extinction -- all share one glaring common denominator: the entire lot of environmental ills exists from human irresponsibility, greed and self-interest. Examining the practical, ethical and social obligations as they relate to the need for appropriate actions brings about the need to formulate optimal and ethical decisions to rectify the recklessness of mankind's actions. While grassroots efforts are instrumental in engaging the general public, the real impact must be instigated by the one entity that has historically brought about the most damage: big business.
